Better World Video Awards 2025: Together for Life

30 September 2025
2 minutes

This short documentary highlights the work of The Path to Humanity, an NGO dedicated to protecting the environment & stray street animals in Sharm El Sheikh

Sharm El Sheikh. It’s one of the world’s top travel and diving destinations – a home for locals and people from all across the world. But like every place, it faces challenges: trash that threatens our land and sea.

When you call a place your home, you want to take care of it. And that’s what The Path to Humanity does. Founded in 2023, the organisation fights against animal suffering and environmental destruction in Sharm El Sheikh. Together with volunteers from many countries, the organisation has organised 14 land and underwater cleanups.

More than eight tons of trash have been removed, protecting the Red Sea and its creatures, an incredible feat highlighted in Together for Life.

The mission of the organisation does not end with the environment, though. Together for Life also depicts how the organisation cares for the street dogs and cats of Sharm El Sheikh. More than 600 animals have been sterilised and returned safely to their environments.

Feeding and water stations are placed across the city, giving animals a chance of a better life.

The Path to Humanity unites people from all over the world, with different languages and cultures. It shares one unified goal: to protect what we have, and to help those who cannot ask for help.

Together for Life has been entered into the individual category of the 2025 Better World Video Awards. Find out more about how you can enter here. The individual category prize this year is a 7-night stay in Chiang Mai, courtesy of our partner, Aggressor Adventures; while our group winner will receive a £3,000 advertising package with Geographical.
