How the power of theatre and performance can transform lives across Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and Syria

Over the past decade, Seenaryo has reached 195,000 people through theatre and play. Working in Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and Syria, the company supports people to heal, lead and learn through performance art.

Essentially, Seenaryo co-creates performances with under-served communities, trains future leaders and transforms classrooms through play. To date, it has created 225 original theatre productions, and trained more than 3600 teachers in how to use play in the classroom.

Among those that the company has helped is Ahmad Asfar, a participant from Sabra camp in Beirut, Lebanon.

Ahmad was part of the first ever Seenaryo Showbuild back in 2015. He has gone on to co-create four other Showbuilds and three Studio productions, performing on stages across Lebanon and touring twice to Germany. He is now a trained facilitator and regularly leads theatre with children from his community.
