In this short documentary, discover how children’s lives are being transformed at the Kao La Amani Children’s Village in Tanzania
Article 25 have a proud history across 100 projects, transforming lives for two decades: designing and delivering sustainable buildings around the globe. Thanks to their work more children can complete their education, healthcare can reach more communities, and families have safer homes in which to thrive.
Their video highlights one story which epitomises Article 25’s mission and demonstrates how they turn this into reality.
In Tanzania, roughly 8 per cent of children under the age of 18 are orphaned. With little to no government support, NGOs remain critical in ensuring these children have the best start to life. This is where Article 25’s project partner, Tír na nÓg Children’s Foundation, comes in.

With Article 25’s support and expertise, their Children’s Village provides vulnerable children of all ages not just a home, but a place to learn, a place to be loved – a place to develop into healthy members of the community. The Children’s Village provides more than just shelter; it’s a sustainable village designed to protect and nurture the most vulnerable in communities.
Whilst based in London, 4,543 miles away, when you join a call, or visit the site in Tanzania, you truly appreciate the impact Article 25 can make to real people every day. As their site architect puts it, ‘the fact [my work] actually impacts the community and the children who, in risk environments … never really got the chance to have a real close family […] is a dream come true.’
Article 25’s video has been entered into the group category of the 2025 Better World Video Awards. Find out more about how you can enter here.
