Discover how MapAction are helping emergency response capacity in Madagascar in this short video
Madagascar has experienced more than 50 cyclones since 2000.
MapAction has been working in Madagascar for more than five years, proving emergency response surge capacity to the national disaster management agency. In 2023, MapAction began working on Anticipatory Action programmes on Africa’s largest island. Anticipatory Action ensures measures are taken to protect communities before a disaster and can be sevenfold cheaper than responding after a disaster.
