Two moving films about the Akwaaba Volunteers helping children in Ghana faced with extreme poverty

Second Chance takes you on a heart-warming journey of two children who face the hardship of growing up in extreme poverty, in one of the poorest countries in the world, Ghana. The  film is a unique look into what life is like for over 3.5 million children facing the extreme struggles of poverty in today’s world.

The two children Jesse and Benne face different challenges. Jesse’s home life is heart-breaking with no real parental support and money and Benedicta suffered an injury six years ago which was left untreated.

The films have raised over £3,000 for Akwaaba Volunteers to help them continue supporting all the children.

This film has been entered in the MPB Geographical Better World Video Awards. See all the entries and the winners.
