Netflix’s new 2023 documentary series Our Planet II will navigate the challenging world of animal migrations

The official trailer for Netflix’s new animal documentary series Our Planet II has arrived, giving us a fresh glimpse into the fascinating lives of our planet’s wildlife.

Made by the same award-winning team behind Our Planet and Planet Earth, Our Planet II will once again be narrated by Sir David Attenborough, this time guiding us through some of the most dramatic journeys made by migrating animals.

At any one time, billions of animals are on the move. Over land, through oceans or skies, different species migrate to feed, reproduce and find shelter – journeys that are increasingly threatened in our changing, warming world. With its spectacular cinematography – and featuring footage from Africa, India, China and the Arctic – Our Planet II will reveal some of the challenges they face, from the herds of pronghorn antelope attempting to cross the dry grasslands of the American West, to the millions of tiny red crabs on their annual race from the open beaches to the safety of the forest.

Our Planet II premieres on June 14 2023 on Netflix.
