Pollution and modifications have led to a devasting decline to the River Evenlode in Oxfordshire
The River Evenlode was once a beautiful river, full of life with crystal clear water. Over the past thirty years, the river has become polluted, the water is brown, and aquatic life is becoming increasingly rare. The river has also been modified over the years with straightening and dredging, resulting in more flooding downstream.
Local organisations, communities and charities have come together to form the Evenlode Catchment Partnership with a vision to restore the Evenlode to good ecological status. This film shows the passion of those involved in helping restore this once beautiful river habitat.
