Macmillan Hiking Challenges

Want to explore the world, challenge yourself and help a great cause while you’re at it? Why not try a Macmillan overseas hike? Not only will you have the adventure of a lifetime, you will also be helping people affected by cancer with every step you take

GeoCharityPartnerMacmillan overseas hikes are a fantastic way not only to see the world, but to raise money to help support the vital work carried out by Macmillan’s cancer support team. Whether it’s trekking across the Grand Canyon or through the rainforests of Borneo, simply register your interest, raise the minimum level of sponsorship (amounts vary, see individual hikes below) and you’ll be off on the adventure of a lifetime, all while raising vital funds to support Macmillan.

Your registration fee, plus a portion of the initial sponsorship, will be paid by Macmillan on your behalf to the tour operator, Discover Adventure, to cover the costs of your participation. After that, every penny you raise goes towards Macmillan’s vital work. Better still, if you raise over the minimum sponsorship requirement, 100 per cent of the surplus will directly benefit Macmillan. Macmillan is proud to have one of the best cost:income ratios in the sector, meaning more of your hard earned sponsorship is spent on its vital services and not on trip costs.
